Within 4hrs of opening registration, it was literally full. To start off- I didn’t realize how structured it was going to be (in a good way!) Having rotations was perfect and allowed the kids to take turns (especially with the foam pit) and also learn new skills and try things they might not have tried if there wasn’t rotations. It was VERY well organized and staffed and I know of a couple parents personally who dropped their kids off and went on a date and it was the first date since taking placement of their children (for one family that was over 2yrs ago). Providing opportunities for families like mine allows kids to see how ‘normal’ fostering and adopting is and that they aren’t alone. It was also really fun to see two girls reconnect from a foster care camp they went to this summer.
